At seminar they said BMI over 40 wouldn't have to wait......
I like your friend's quote it is inspiring.....as for the going around the waiting we don't have the funds to do so. I wi**** was that simple for me. I'll pray for you that everything goes smoothly next month for you
Thank you for taking the time to encourage me and let me know of additional options.
keep your eye on the prize, we'll all get there!
I took a loan from my 401k, I don't have a lot of cash sitting around these days. BUT- we either pay for surgery in two ways right- time or money.
Just focus on the blessing of having the ability to have surgery without having to pay, and consider each month a "payment" of time instead of dollars. See you on the losers bench hun, keep your head up
When all was said and done I still paid about $5k even with insurance and had to wait the 6 months to boot. The only reason it was a good thing was I had 6 months to save the money, but I'm wishing I looked into the Mexico option a little more now!

Hi, I had to wait 6 months too. And I wasn't allowed to miss one month or I would have to start all over again. The 6 months went by fast and after all was done I was grateful for those months. During the weight management I learned so much that helps me now and will help me with my journey in the future. I know people that have gone right in for the surgery and 3 to 4 months after they have no clue on how they are suppose to eat or what. They end up stretching their pouch and causing damage in some cases. I did tell the Nutritionist that I thought waiting was a good idea but I think 4 months would have been long enough. Sometimes I wonder if the insurance companies do 6 month hoping we will give up just my opinion. Any way good luck with your journey.
