weight plateau
Most everyone has the same problem. It is common for your body to take periodic breaks as it acclimates to your rapid weight loss. You are not in a plateau. A plateau is a period of time that can stall weight loss for period of weeks to months. This will be much more short lived. Also, because you are only two weeks post op your body is trying to heal. It has been through a lot of trauma, and needs to find its balance.
I hope this helps

Stalls are completely normal through the entire weight loss process. Your body occasionally pauses and takes some time to adjust. Try not to panic, just keep on sticking to your plan and you'll reach your goals.
If weighing daily is going to stress you out, don't weigh daily. I use TrendWeight.com to track my weight and it really helps me to focus on my trending weight instead of on day to day fluctuations.

I lost 18 pounds my first 2 weeks and then nothing for the next 7 days. I'm 4 weeks out now and have lost 23 pounds. Your body is still adjusting to eating so little and you may be constipated. I got some milk of magnesia to get things flowing again. Also make sure you're getting your water in.
This is going to happen several times over the next year as you're losing. One thing I noticed is that I dropped a size or three by the time the stall occurred. Buying new clothes was a definite mood lifter during this time.

I know the feeling. I've had a few stalls already, and while I know they're normal, and I'll start losing again, they're still frustrating. My current stall has been about a week and a half.
Unless your doctor wants you to, try not to weigh yourself everyday. I weigh on Mondays and Thursdays, so if I am stalled, at least I don't have to see that same number everyday. I was disappointed this morning to see it hadn't started moving yet, so I'll try it again on Monday and hope for the best.
