Well whatt an experience.  I woke up in horrible pain strapped to a bed.  I came out of surgery flipping out**Can be a drama queen**  They didnt properly medicate me and pain had me wondering if they messed something in my insides.  Praying for a quick recovery but Im hurting still...

Walk and sip like it's your job - because it IS!   No excuses, your pain will subside much quicker if you are up and about.

Glad you are finally home. Sorry that you had such a traumatic experience. Waking up in that kind of pain is not unusual given that you just had major surgery. Like everyone else said walk walk walk and sip sip sip. Do not be afraid to take your pain meds for now. It is important to keep ahead of the pain to allow you to do your Job: WALK WALK WALK SIP SIP SIP.

nurses can't "properly medicate " a patient till the patient wakes up and the nurse finds out how much pain they are having and can then give appropriate treatment.

Glad you are home and doing well.

We made it! I was a little sore after my surgery, but I'm keeping up with my meds. The pain meds make me nauseous, but then I take my nauseous meds. it isn't an easy surgery to recovery. Its going to take time. Hang-in-there, we'll start feeling better. I can't quite get all my liquids in just yet. I just keep working on it. Take care. Christine

I know how you feel, I've been there -- waking up in horrible pain, strapped to the bed. The only solution for me was divorce.

I'm glad you're home. You'll feel a little better every day.
