I have been in misery for months. Was diognosed with Endocrine PAncreatic Inefficiency last month I'm taking all sorts of pills for that but I still have pain. I had an MRPC last week and the radioligist recommended an ERCP but my surgeon I can't can't have that after bypass. Anybody else have a stone in their bile duct?

I had my gallbladder taken out years before bypass surgery.

Perhaps the particular surgeon you are working with won't do the surgery, but it CAN be done after a RNY (but it would have to be done open rather than laparoscopically).

When I had my gallbladder out, it was after being in the hospital for a week with pancreatitis because of a stone, and my surgeon -- who does lap procedures whenever possible -- talked at length with me about the fact that if there were any additional  stones, he would have to convert to open surgery and do an ERCP.  It was specifically spelled out that way on the consent I signed the next morning.

Perhaps it would be worth having a consultation with another surgeon.
