BCBS Operating Engineers Local 15 New York insurance coverage good or do they make you...

Question-

I had the sleeve on 8/21/14. I am inquiring for a friend.....she has bcbs insurance and wants to know is there a waiting period? I.E. physician supervised diet to get approved? or can approval come from her being obese? Her BMI is 45. She has no  diabetes or sleep apnea....borderline high blood pressure, and needs a knee replacement. Your responses are appreciated!

We really have no way of knowing. Her best bet is to look up her benefits online or call the customer service number.

No way of knowing.  She can see her policy and its requirements on-line -- or she can call her insurer directly and ask her specific questions.

And........why not have her sign up here ---- she would get lots of information and support for herself.  We don't bite!

It depends on her specific insurance policy and there is no way for us to get that info.  She just needs to call the number on her card to find out what her policy requires.
