Is the nausea normal?

I had the RNY 5 weeks ago.  Just hit the stall after 29 pounds, but my trouble is nausea.  I didn't really have any until the last week.  I am following my diet and carefully measuring the amount I am allowed to have, but it seems that now, almost anything I eat (except for my protein shakes and liquids) makes me feel nauseated.  Is this common?  The Zofran isn't helping either.  I tend to feel o****il I eat that first bite.  Is this just part of healing?

Not normal, call your surgeon.  You might need a different PPI.  You might have an ulcer or stricture.

This would only be normal if you're dehydrated or worse.  Dehydration is most common.  Your daily goal is 64oz of fluids daily.  It's hard, but your body doesn't care and will react accordingly, first with nausea and fatigue - later kidney stones.

Thank you!  I will push more fluids...maybe that is it.  When I add up my fluids, I'm not quite there.

I had nausea on and off for quite awhile. Nothing was wrong, it was just me... Zofran didn't help. Tic Tacs were my friend during that time. I would bite them and let them dissolve in my mouth. The peppermint helped.
