Nutri-bullet. Do I need it?
I bought a nitro-bullet and now I am rethinking it. I am on a platue and I have 15-17lbs to my goal weight. I am stuck. I will be six months out on the 3rd. So I still have it in the box. Will use it? It seems I need to blend my meals and then will I eat too much? I think I will take it back and save the $67.00. What are your thoughts.
No I do not blend my foods. I just heard it was healthy for the nutrition, but when reading the book it came with I was like too much food too much sugar and too much calories. I do make my 1-2 protein shakes a day in a blender. But my food has been whole since 2 weeks out. I think this was an impulse buy on black Friday so I just justified why I don't need it. Going to bring it back to Costco on Monday.

For most people more than a few months out from surgery, our goal is to focus on solid protein (lean, solid protein for me .... I know DS folks need fat).
So, blended food is not needed, and as your post indicates, can be the fast track to extra calories, carbs and sugars.
If you need to use smoothies for meal replacements it could work, but for fewer calories you can get a lot more protein with 'real' food.
I never had need of a blender either. Anything that comes out of a blender will go through you too quickly. You can easily take in too many calories too quickly, and you'll be hungry again sooner.

I only ever used a blender/processor during my pureed phase. Which was from weeks 2-4 post op for me. I can't see why I'd need one 6 months out from surgery!
