I didn't really have a favorite meal pre op, but after after having liquids for a month b4 surgery & then again after surgery along with soft mushy food I couldn't wait to have a meal that required the use of my teeth! LOL So I was super happy that I didn't have an issue with eggs. So my 1st meal post op was eggs & sausage from my favorite diner, the sausage was delicious! Not long afterwards it was followed by salmon, grilled chicken, cheeseburgers, shredded slow cooked cuban pork & many other dense protein meals, so they've all become my favorite, but nothing beats that 1st meal feeling. Enjoy, enjoy!

Did I mention the eggs was a western omlette? Yum yum, couldn't fini**** though, had to throw the rest away, but the sausage was delicious!

Any of my Alaska King Salmon (grilled or smoked) or the Halibut I caught in Kodiak (baked with Asiago cheese) plus I am crazy for greens, esp kale/spinach with a spicy sweet/sour dressing.  That doesn't sound like a lot but it's def my fave!

It's simple, but my favorite is still chili.  I could eat it 5 times a week.  I just tried the Wendy's Chili copycat recipe, and it turned out great!  Smelled and tasted just like theirs.

I'm one-week postop-VSG so right now, potato soup is the most amazing thing in the world. I'm looking forward to eggs. :)
