I want gastric sleeve, but have no insurance to pay for it. A friend of mine mentioned that there are these pay as you go insurance plans that you can take out for any kind of medical procedures that you may want. I want to know what are some  of them and if so are they any good to cover surgery?

I'm not familiar with pay as you go medical insurance, but I do know there are several companies that finance WLS costs and you pay them back over time just like you would any other loan.  Care Credit is one; you could probably google and come up with more.  I just can't think  of any of the others off the top of my head.

I think most of them have really high interest rates but yes some people use them.

I guess I would ask my friend for the name of some of these places.

My doctor's office recommended American Health Care Leanding: http://www.americanhealthcarelending.com/?gclid=CIHOqfDlmMIC FY4AaQodD6YA4Q

I did not use them but I think their interest rate is 14% which is better than a lot of credit cards.  I used Care Credit (www.carecredit.com) for part of mine.
