make up into surgery?
Your makeup will be smeared to hell and back anyway, so just don't wear it. The surgeon, nurses, and OR staff have seen much worse than a bare face.
Also, as an SMO person, all the makeup in the world wasn't going to turn me into Sophia Loren, so it seemed a bit silly to me to be worried about a bare face when I had a body like the Michelin Man, y'know?

You seem to have difficulty following rules. If this continues, your surgery will not be successful. Learn to follow rules if you ever want to get anywhere near a normal BMI and stay there. Seriously. Your health is at stake.

Serious??? I'd be more interested in losing the excess 300 pounds! one side effect that I have from anesthesia is I keep crying as I am waking so I would have had black eyes and black streaks all over my face like dracula when I woke.
Good luck with that. I hope you will follow your instructions for post-op and not plan to do whatever you want.
Best,
L
You DO realize there are legitimate medical reasons for them wanting you without makeup, don't you?
There will be a million machines monitoring your vital signs, but the best, most reliable "machine" are anesthesiologists (sp?), nurses and surgeons that can spot a patient in trouble before the machines start sounding alarms. They do this by watching carefully your skin tone, nail beds and other bodily indicators. Those few seconds between when a human being notices you are in trouble and the machines start beeping may save your life.
In the end, it doesn't really matter though. Like someone said previously, you WILL go into surgery barefaced or you won't go at all. You may not care enough about your life to follow direction, but the hospital staff is paid to keep you safe and has a vested interest in doing so. Sad isn't it? They care about your safety during surgery more than you appear to.
I looked at your profile and don't mean to sound like an ass, but you really need to follow all directions. Also maybe go for the head eval if you haven't yet. I mean are you doing this for vanity or health? Thats what I would look in the mirror and ask. And with no makeup on.
I did not wear make-up, nail polish, nor did I put any styling products in my hair. I wasn't going to take any chances with my surgery not being performed due to something like my own vanity. I'm a girly girl through and through, but the the rules were no make-up, naked nails, and no styling products, so I followed the HELL out of those ( and all ) rules.
But hey...you're already lying to your surgeon, so go for it.
