make up into surgery?
Exactly what I was thinking - I somehow thought she wanted to do her face "just in case" she did not survive and had to be transferred straight away to the place where the ice-cream sandwiches stay ice-creamy but that is not why. She doesn't want to look like a hot mess when she wakes.
Sorry at our weights there is no easy does it, do it easy. That surgical team has to move our humungous arses around and work on us closely for hours. They could give 2 franks about how pretty we look. They are probably thinking how in the hell did they let themselves get so damned fat. lol
I did not wear makeup into surgery, but, like you, I was tempted to! Although when I wore flip-flops to my last pre-op appointment, the nurse practitioner noticed my toenail polish and said that I could keep that on. Let me tell you, though, that when you wake up you won't give a rat's rear end about what you look like!
You won't wear makeup into surgery. They will tell you to remove it before you go to the OR. If you refuse, they will refuse to take you to the OR.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
I shouldn't be laughing at this post but I am, only because the thought ran thru my mind also. I went into open heart surgery with my nail polish still on my toes. I remember as I awoke from the open heart surgery the nurse looked at my painted toe nails and made a comment how pretty my toe nails looked. Had me smiling even after open heart surgery. :)

Sadly no, based upon other posts made and her solution for passing the nicotine test. smh
