Some one please tell me this gets easier? Im on day 2 of full liquids and I dont know if I can do this for another 13 days.  After the surgery I'm hoping I wont be starving like I am now.  This sugar free carb free protein is gross.  I think after this ill never want jello soup or popsicles again....ughhhh help!

It does get easier..........but it still sucks!  The pre-op and post-op liquid stages are miserable, but well worth the effort.  Once you get to the pureed stage you'll feel like you're on easy street.

The liquid diet stages are necessary evils.

Hang tough!

Which brands of protein powder are you using? I have always been partial to Jay Robb Whey Protein powder. It is not a meal replacement powder, though. I never cared for Premier Protein products, though the Syntax Nectars are generally pretty good. I also like Unjury chicken broth, since my tastes have always tended to be more savory rather than sweet.

Gerald, IT does get better!!  I am 15 days post op and still in the liquid diet.  The great thing is I have not felt hunger in 15 days and have to set up my phone alarms to eat!!

the first three days of the liquid diet are the worst.  In a couple of days you will get used to it.

I'm on day five of my liquid pre-op diet. I feel great today. I am not hungry at all this morning, and all I had was eight oz. of water mixed with the Syntrax Roadside Lemonade protein. The first few days I thought I was going to die-- I was so hungry! If you can have some chicken broth, I would suggest sipping on cup or two of that throughout the day. It took my headache away! Keep up with it! You can do it! Think of all the great things we have in store for us. My doctor is making me do the pre-op diet for three weeks! So at least you only have to do it for two weeks! You'll do great. You got this!

The first 3-4 days suck.  It gets easier, and it's worth doing.

It does get easier. 4 days out and you will feel better. I was not hungry after that and actually forgot to eat twice. It really prepares you for post op I'm so glad my physician required it. Stay strong you can do it. I was just sleeved three days ago!!!

It does get easier but boy, it was so hard!  I hated popsicles and jello, too.  What saved me was Swanson's Mexican Tortilla broth.  It tasted savory and like a real meal to me.  I must have drank one a day for a while.  However you get through, I swear it's worth it.  You've got this friend!

Kat, for me it was the swanson's Thai Ginger broth! I felt like I was having pho! :)
