A great video of a guy who lost 160 lbs and his loose skin

Hi all,

My apologies if this has been shared before, but I had never seen it until a friend sent it to me.

You know that phrase, misery loves company?  Well I have done great losing weight thus far, but I am very self-conscious about my loose skin.  It's kind of nice to know that I am not alone, and this guy definitely has a great attitude about his skin.  I especially like that his focus is on being healthy, as is mine, but it can be tough some days to feel so strong and accomplished yet so unhappy at how my new body looks naked.  (it looks damn good in clothes however lol)

I am so thankful for plastic surgery and looking forward to the day in the future that I can have it!

Great video! Hopefully someday ins companies will stop looking at loose skin removal as a cosmetic procedure, till then plastics definitely in my future.

Thanks for the post Em. I thought I'd chime in, since most attention is by and about women's excess skin issues.

I was interested in seeing his skin problems, because he was a lot younger than I am, his high weight was much lower (475 to 360) and he had lost a lot less than I have (290 vs 160).

So after seeing his video, I think I have actually fared really well. I'm far from a bathing suit model. But I can't stretch my skin anywhere near as far as he can. My stomach is probably about the same as his, and my thighs and arms are better. But what really shocked me was his chest. I have absolutely no extra skin on my chest. Now, my nipples are probably a couple of inches lower than they should be. But I have nothing extra there at all. If I had his extra chest skin, I think it would really freak me out.

Thanks for sharing, and glad to see you are doing great still.

Grim - that's so awesome that you have fared so well! I was also surprised by his hanging nipples but then again my boobs hang so why would that surprise me?! I am not faring so well and just creeping towards goal so I can get plastics. His arms for example look good and he can pull the extra skin but mine hangs and is obvious not just when it's pulled. I really liked the video because I can relate - in clothes I am looking fantastic but out of clothes it's really a mindfu*k!

You continue to inspire me that I can get to goal :) 6 lbs to goal and 16 to my secret goal and 21 lbs to my super secret no way it's gonna happen but why not dream goal of 145 :)

Have a great Turkey Day!

Creeping? You're a juggernaut! The very embodiment of Newton's first law! I think you can accomplish any super secret goal you set your mind to.

PS. It's no longer a super secret when you post it on the internet.
