I have so much to say. Feeling like so little time, My Life is on the Line.

In the beginning of my weight loss journey in 2004 after my open heart surgery,I was worried about what people thought about me, if I was making the right decision to have wls. Doing this all on my own,  Now 7 1/2 yrs later still maintaining my weight loss. Still Amazing myself each and every day. I have learned how to maintain my weight loss. Not Eating after 8pm and Exercise is what has kept me Maintaining. Watching my total fat grams per day, no****ching Calories. I weigh myself daily. Eating plenty of fiber every day. Love Fiber One Cereal with Almond Milk hot.I can eat most anything. Still have a little trouble here and there after I eat certain foods  Potato's and Bread ( wheat bread) Egg yokes, Dry chicken, but it passes with a little time after drinking warm water. Had the most awesome smoothie the other day in my Nutri Bullet. 1/2 Banana~ handful of Kale~ handful of pineapple~ 3 Cloves of garlic~1/2 c. Water~1 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder. Awesome meal.

Time has come where my life is on the line, I am told by my surgeons nurse. She said she is worried about me, trying to deal with my Hernias and Gallstones with my heart disease.Had a long conversation with her a few weeks ago. Her concern is me coming out of surgery alive. I was shocked to hear her say that to me.Sorry if I am so blunt. My Therapist is not very comforting, while facing reality about my life.I cannot stand when people say "You'll be Alright" you can say that out of being positive but seriously there is always a positive and a negative when it comes to any surgery. I have had Stents put in post op wls but was not put to sleep for them.

I am not worried what people think anymore. I am here just like all of you for the same reasons. I am one that has regretted having wls. Not many talk about post op complications much. Now I see why even more. Took a little longer for me to see because reality is setting in. I am a 57 yr old woman that has lost a lot of strength ( amazed myself when I learned I  was able to ride a horse) it takes some strength to ride a horse.. I  suffer from post dramatic syndrome from the open heart surgery in 2004. I have faced death twice, want to know what its like on the other side just ask. It's actually a beautiful place to be.. Been there done that. I am loved by someone who wants me still here, Post weight loss surgery is going to be the next reality check. Im very upset with my surgeons nurse with that statement she made she's worried about me because of my heart condition. She and my wls surgeon weren't worried when they performed wls on me and knew of my heart condition then. My bluntness again.Every time I try to talk to doctors im lucky if I get 5 min talk time .I am trying to get some education about my next obstacle. I am constantly pushing back in my Hernias. Just recently while in the E R the heart doctor comes in and talks to me for 5 min. then leaves. I want to scream.. Dam it! doctor,Educate me what is going on and help me decide how to take care of this obstacle safely so I may survive this surgery that "Has to" be done. I Feel like my time is running out. Feeling like no one is taking me serious. Maybe my post dramatic syndrome kicking in and my anxiety. Maybe I watch too many doctors shows on t.v.. Would help if there are any nurses here that can explain about Hernias and Gallstones. I try to understand google about Hernias, but its not working for me.I am a nervous wreck. I know word may get to my wls nurse but at this point its too close for me.

At least you know you have "post DRAMATIC Syndrome".  Is not having hernia surgery an option?  Helpful if you listen to your doc & stop riding horses.

Best to you

Yes I listened to the doctor and stopped riding the horse. Its too cold to ride anyway. Went to a horse Expo yesterday and watched others ride. Barrell riding, Bar Jumping.. was a fun day.

It sounds to me like you need to "clean house" with your entire medical team, including your therapist, and get people who are more willing to educate, support, and properly diagnose you, and who will discuss your conditions and treatment options with you.  If there are no treatment options, they should be able to explain to you, in a way that you can understand, WHY there are no other options.

Just so you will know, since you have referred to this a number of times in different posts, there is no such thing as "post dramatic syndrome". What I assume you are referring to is called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and it has, unfortunately, become greatly over-diagnosed and mis-diagnosed.  It has very specific diagnostic criteria (someone must have symptoms in each of SIX diagnostic areas and must have multiple symptoms in several of those areas):  Nightmares? Flashbacks? Persistent intrusive thoughts about the event? Avoidance of any place or person associated with the event? Irritability or aggressive behavior? Exaggerated startle response? hypervigilance? Sleep disturbance? Inability to concentrate? Intense or prolonged negative reaction to reminders of the traumatic event? Marked physical stress response to reminders of the event? Persistent negative emotions? Lack of interest in activities enjoyed pre-trauma? Persistent distorted blame of self or others for the trauma? Significant functional impairment in some aspect of life as a result of the event?

I really think it would be worth your while to seek out some second opinions.

I think Lora has a great suggestion.  Based on several of your recent posts, you seem very unhappy with your current medical team.  Maybe a fresh approach and consult with specialists in the field would serve you better at this point.

I have all but one of those symptoms you listed and thank you very much for taking the time to list all of these. I don't have nightmares but have all the other symptoms, thanks for correcting what I said what its called.
