THANK YOU
My surgery is Monday, 11/17/14. This has been a 6-month process and a lifelong process.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum. Thanks for your honesty, your bravery, your kindness to one another. This is my first topic. I've responded with "Congratulations!" to several people, but not interacted as much as I've just read. You've made me feel like I was not alone in a world that doesn't understand how we struggle, how we feel every slight.
People have asked if I'm scared for Monday. NO. Not scared. Excited. Excited to be able to post before and after pictures. Excited to share NSVs and when I hit ONEDERLAND. Thanks to everyone here for creating a community where these victories are celebrated and fully understood for the hard work and emotion it takes to reach them.
You all are my heroes.
Stephanie
