Submitted and puréed foods

yesterday my patient advocate submitted everything to get me a date for surgery. Here's to hoping for a date within a week.

also I went to a group session last night and they told us about a company that you can order 2oz portions of puréed food for your pureed stage and they said it's delicious! I have the web address if anyone wants!

That seems like overkill!  I was so happy when I got to purees, since it meant I could start cooking for my family again.  I chose to cook foods that would be easy (and tasty) to puree and it was great.  I used a mini processor to puree my meals.

Here's a list of what I ate -- http://myvsg.livejournal.com/37151.html

Actually,  I agree with Gwen.  Puréed foods are really easy! And I liked knowing it was "real"  food.  I imagine ready made purées are going to have preservatives etc.,  not to mention cost a lot more!  But I suppose if you don't like cooking, they would be convenient.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

You're eating so little food at the pureed stage that it seems like a waste of money to pay for someone to prepare it.  But I guess it's an option for someone who doesn't want to cook.

Having WLS has made me focus on what I eat and how to prepare it.  I think it's part of the lifestyle change I needed since we used to eat out several times per week.  Now I can easily prepare my meals quickly and enjoy what I'm eating, and know exactly what's in the food.

I think that it would be very hard to go through this entire lifestyle change without cooking :/

I went to the culinary institute of America so I'll be cooking but I just posted bc i am sure this would be a great find for someone who travels for work or maybe doesn't have the knowledge or support at home to do so.

I'm sure it would be a real convenience for some people.

Eh, can I come to your house to eat??  Bet you'll be eating well.  Maybe when you get to the "real food" stage you can post your menus on the daily "What are you eating today" threads.  I'm always looking for new ideas!
