Weight Loss post op stall?

I had my gastric bypass on 9/17/14, I was 243 the day of surgery and I'm at 223 today, almost two months later.  Is this normal?  I thought I would have lost more by now.  I haven't seen any weight loss in a month!  I'm exercising regularly now by walking 2 miles, 3-4 times a week.  I'm barely eating anything just to lose .... can anyone offer any advice?

what exactly are you eating on a given day? Are you getting 64 oz of liquid a day?

Do you track what you're eating using an app like My Fitness Pal?  How many calories/protein are you eating in a day?

How much water are you drinking?

I had a 3 1/2 week stall in my first month. It happens. It is very frustrating. Eating less to lose is not going to help. If you eat too little your body just tries to conserve. Do what you are supposed to do. Eat 60-80g protein a day and get your 64oz of water. My personal thing is don't eat exactly the same thing everyday, change it up. Good Luck!

Can't tell by your ticker but if you are a lightweight, 30-45BMI with 100 or so pounds to lose, you have to look at % of excess weight instead of over all pounds.  You certainly could just be in a stall or you could be eating stuff that isn't on your plan, even though it isn't "hardly anything".

On the lightweight board we post our menus under miles and menus each day and it holds us accountable.  Join us there.

I recently started using the My Fitness Pal app, and I love it.  I use it mainly to track my protein.  My doctor's office stresses that getting the protein is extremely important for weight loss.
