Pain in my right side

I need some help and suggestions.  I had the gastric sleeve in February and I have lost 150 pounds.  "Praises to the Lord!"  But, now I am experiencing a rather sharp pain in my right side.  It does not happen all the time, but when it does - it hurts!  Is this something that I should see my weight loss doctor about or should I see another kind of specialist?  If so, what type of doctor?  Thank you for your help.

I'd call your primary care doctor and/or your bariatric surgeon's office to let them know.  For something medical, be protective of your health and call a doctor.

I agree unless you are positive it is surgery related always start with your primary. They can then steer you to where you need to go.

I have had a pain in my right side under my ribs, for many years already, I was told that it was from my Chronic Pancreatitis, but I have had it from post-op two years, on and off. You need to get it checked out asap and don't take nothing as an answer until they find out what it is! I think your primary care dr. will most likely send you to the GI or the dr. who did your surgery though. I have had so many complications, had my original surgery in 1990, revised i***** and 2011. Found out a lot in 2012. Feel free to ask me any questions.
