I don't think Premier was ever whey.  It's a casein protein based drink, and I think RNYers are fine with casein.  But check with your doc or the RNY board to make sure.  Here are the ingredients:

Water, Premier Protein®  Shake Protein Blend (Milk Protein Concentrate, Calcium Caseinate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Milk Protein Isolate) Cocoa Powder (processed with alkali), Contains 1% or less of the following: High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Inulin, Cellulose Gel and Cellulose Gum, Potassium Citrate, Sodium Hexametaphosphate,  Magnesium Phosphate, DATEM, Salt, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium, Carrageenan,

My nutritionist recommended Premier Protein for the high protein level, so I would imagine they are ok.

There are times I wonder how savvy the nutritionist and dietitians are protein wise. My nutritionist has told me those protein shots were okay. She also told me the water couldn't be too hot when mixing protein power into it or the heat would cook the protein, making the protein useless, that everything should be a the warm side of lukewarm, ew  lol

GNC carries Whey Isolate protein. If you don't have a GNC near by, check amazon.

Syntrax Nectar has whey protein isolate.  You can also mix some of the Syntrax protein shakes with water others with milk, they have quite a few flavors to.  I got the shakes at the Vitamin Shoppe or on line.  Most of the shakes tasted pretty good to.
