My history of weight loss is slow so I was hoping the surgery would help. I hear what you are saying. I need to be patient. I guess I was expecting so much more because my husband lost 40 lbs in 4 weeks but men lose weight differently.

Nice to see this post, I'll be post op two weeks on Wednesday and I've only lost 2/3 pounds!  Discouraging!

I found it interesting to see so many posts indicating that some went up to 4 weeks without a loss (I think most were from women).  Laying off the scale is probably helpful. I see a change in my clothes but not the scale so I will just keep on plugging. Hope this was helpful!  Lisa

I never once suffered a stall. Want to know my secret?

I only weighed at my doctor's office, about once every three months. (*grin*)

Seriously, you're going to lose at whatever rate your body deems appropriate, whether you get on the scale or not. How often you weigh won't affect how much and when you lose, but it it can greatly affect how you FEEL about your loss.
