Nothing to be done except stick to your plan. (I shaved my head 6 weeks post-op for St. Baldricks, so I've never really noticed any hair loss!) Talk to your hair stylist and pick a style that will make the loss less noticeable :)

I hated the hair loss. I went to the stylist and had it cut short short short, and that helped a lot to camouflage the balding loss. I had never worn short hair before and loved it. LOVED. SHORT. HAIR. It also looked good on me with my new chin line--no more double+ chins :)

The biotin will only help the hair you have grow faster. Once your body heals and is stable, your hair will stop falling out and start to regrow. The biotin will help it grow faster once it does - but not before. No miracles. Just keep up with your protein, water, and vitamins - your hair will come back. :)

Thanks so much for the input ladies. I remember reading all about this pre-op and thinking it wouldn't be so bad, that I am not so vain as to be truly troubled by a bit of hair loss. After all, this surgery was not really about aesthetics for me. It was and is about saving my own life. BUT the hairless really has been a bit of a head trip for me. Thank you for the support while I have my "moment". This too shall pass.
