Vegitarians?
I am 10 years out and have maintained my weight loss. While I ate a lot of meat prior to WLS (RNY) I didn't eat much after surgery, and have this past year cut meat completely. I'm not a true vegetarian in that I do eat diary products, but not meat. I will eat fish and shell food if it is being served and I feel like it. I know that at this point I should know this but I want confirmation from others as to what they eat to get protein without eating meat. Any other vegetarians out there?
Thank you.

Other than the fish and shellfish you already eat, you can have eggs, cheese, dairy, beans, beans, beans, quinoa, tofu. tofu pasta, rice, pasta... A lot of East Indian foods are vegetarian...ie eggplant bhartha, vegetable korma to name a few..and many Thai, Asian...the list goes on.......baba ganoush.....crustless quiches......just search the web for vegetarian bariatric recipes and I am sure you will score big time.......
Basically, it sounds like you are already eating the types of proteins needed to fulfill your needs. I generally track my proteins to insure that I am meeting my quota. Like you, I eat fish and dairy products, and consider myself a Pescaterian. I also, on occasion, will eat tofu (not my fav), soy products like Morningstar Farm products or TVP.
I'm a vegetarian. I eat a lot of beans, nuts and nut butters, dairy products, chia seeds, some soy products like veggie burgers and the like... I have no trouble getting plenty of protein.
