Diabetic glucose test

Why can't she just use your A1C to diagnose?  I was diagnosed about 3 years ago and never had a glucose tolerance test. I wouldn't do it and I agree with the poster above, see an endocrinologist not a gp. Good luck. I sure hope you're still in remission. 

Thank you to all who answered my question I see my endocrinologist on Tuesday for my adrenal gland problem so I will certainty mention this to him and see what he says.I haven`t been on this sight for 3yrs and remembered how everyone was so helpful to me in the beginning so glad its still the same .. I`m taking everyone's advice and will be checking my blood at home in the way one of yous suggested ..thank you all...
