My insurance also requires you show proof that you're morbidly obese for at least a year (other insurance can ask for more years), so I'd look at that before I decided to binge and gain weight.

What's your insurance? I have Tricare and have osteo arthritis,like you in my knee, sleep apnea and hypertension. Was approved easily

High Weight: 264, BMI 46.8, Surgery Date: July 1, 2014, weight 227, BMI 40.2

I wish arthritis was a co-morbidity when I qualified. I didn't have to worry about  Tricare because I had mine at a mtf. Glad u were successful!!

Don't know whether this is true for all insurance companies but my Doc had said the only co-morbidities they consider for approval is Hypertension, Diabetes, and Sleep Apnea. I would call your insurance company and ask for a copy of their WLS policy. I know mine emailed me a link. That being said, have a late appointment, drink water before going in and wear heavy jeans and sweater. :)

Hey.. I had no co-moves and had to"weigh-up" to quality. I won't say exactly what I did... but I have to gain to qualify. So eat freely, and try not to exercise for a month or so. Then wear ahoo.com heavy clothes have heavy stuff "weighing u down" so to speak. Good luck.. but keep this in mind..it's hard to gain when you're trying to lol
