Put lentils into stock with onions, garlic, curry powder if you like it! Boil until soft and starts going souoy! Really is that easy! I often take out half of it, blend it and then add back to the original to make it creamier.

Healthy, high protein, I find it filling. But NOT low calorie!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Saute a half a large sweet onion chopped, some carrots, celery and a few garlic cloves. Add 1lb beans, (rinsed) 1 qt box chicken broth and 2 cups water, (can add more water later if needed), I throw a bay leaf in. Cook 45min- 1 hour. Remove bay leaf. And as someone else said you can puree part of it in a blender and then return it to the pot. Salt and pepper serve with grated cheese. Sometimes I saute some Shadybrook farms Turkey Italian sausage with the onions in the beginning. I take them out of the casing. It need to be the raw kind of sausage not the precooked. With Shadybrook farms I like the hot- it's not hot and the sweet has no flavor. Tried some from Aldi's last week too and they were good too. Enjoy!
