I felt really good one week after surgery, although I needed an afternoon nap for about 2-3 weeks. My bigger concern would just be the transition of the diet. I was on reg food by 3 weeks, but it wasn't easy, it was a work in progress. If my surgery was by Christmas I wouldn't worry about it. Good Luck!

I travel for work and asked my Drs office this question (I am only 1 week post-op with the sleeve).  They suggested for flying to try to make sure I had some sort of protein shake/powder to use on the plane if it was a longer flight.  They also mentioned the importance of getting up and moving on the plane, circulation exercises to make sure there was not a problem with blood clots.  As far as when I could travel at any point but they did mention I probably would not feel like it for a few weeks (vacation travel would be much different though).
