Approval with no health problems?

Has anyone been approved for WLS even with no associated health problems? My BMI meets the criteria, but that's it.

My insurance required a BMI of 35 with a comorbidity or a BMI of 40 with no comorbidities. I had none, but my BMI was well over 40, so I qualified.

You should contact your insurance to find out what their requirements are!

I had and have NO comorbidities. My BMI met the over 40 rule my insurance had. I would check your insurance to be sure, but it was simple to get approved through mine.

Yes- I was just approved. My BMI was at 40.1, just at the requirement. I have no co-morbidities. My insurance requires 35 with a co-morbidity or 40 without. Check your insurance requirements.
