VSG - How long did you take off from work?

I was out of three weeks

Three weeks of medical leave, then an additional week of vacation (4 weeks).

I was in no hurry to return to my office, but was feeling physically fine after two weeks.  Maybe a little tired, but could have returned earlier.

First of all, congratulations!  You must be super anxious/excited right now.  The time between now and your surgery will probably feel like forever but just know that every frustrating, liquid-slurping moment will eventually all pay off eventually.

So to answer your question, the amount of time you are taking sounds perfect.  I had surgery on Tues, 8/26, went home on Thurs., 8/28 went back to work the following Thurs., 9/4 and had to go home after a few hours. I took the next day off and went back to work on Mon., 9/8.  Basically, listen to your body and do not rush yourself. GOOD LUCK!

Had my surgery Thursday afternoon back to work Tuesday morning. I have a desk job, nit strenuous at all, took.breaks and walked every couple of hours.
