Starting The Process

Good Day everyone! I started my process to RNY 10/16/2014. In Sept. I went to a WLS seminar and decided this is what I'm choosing to help with my weight loss. So yestereday I met with the Bariactric Team at St. Michaels Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Extremely pleased with the group. Started the process and hopefully my insurance co. (Horizon BCBS of NJ) will approve. Happy to have this forum!

I am in New Jersey, too. I am having sleeve surgery at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood on October 28. I have Aetna insurance - had to follow their multi-disciplinary guidelines for three months, and got approved two days after submission of the paperwork.

Thank you and congratulations. I chose the sleeve intially but due to severe esophageal issues the surgeon wont perform so I'm am doing the RNY.
