Tough Lessons, Lessons Learned
I have been negligent towards myself and haven't even been coming to this site for help from veterans. Ended up in Urgent Care today, I am done trying to go solo on my post-RNY surgery. I can do solo on lots and lots of other activities but I am back to ask for help and accept help.
I have been hiking and exercising every week and weekend but I started to eat too many almonds and unhealthy appetizers althoiugh I haven't been over-consuming food at meals, not the best choices however. (this is hard to write and to see in print...) but here's the rest of the story
Whack couple of weeks....I gained four pounds (almost 7 months post surgery) and now, since Wednesday I have lost 10 pounds. This after a 6 week stall. Blood sugar crashed hard yesterday, it was at 48 and blood pressure sky-rocketed. Had to go to Urgent Care this noon after blood work results but things seem to be evening out. CRAZY! I haven't been eating enough, I haven't been serious.
I sort of think I needed this little hiccup though to bring me back to Bariatric Reality.
Thanks for listening
XOXOXOXO
Mary
Glad you are OK. This whole journey is a learning experience. If you don't learn from your experiences that's when you are in real trouble. I keep saying hopefully by the time I have lost the weight I will have learned new habits to help me keep it off. Good Luck!

Welcome back! I'm glad you reached out so we can support you.
If you had a high performance sports car, would you put in low quality fuel? No! The car wouldn't perform at its best with crappy fuel.
Think of your body in the same way. Put in high quality food (fuel) so your body performs at its best. Unhealthy appetizers generally mean lots of fat and carbs which are the worst fuel you can put into your body. Unfortunately your body let you know that yesterday.
I'm glad that you are feeling better today. All of us have lessons - it is our choice whether we benefit from them or keep repeating.
Take care!
