I'm going back to work on Sunday. A little nervous. What advice can you offer?

Take it easy.  I went back 1 week post op.  The first day was ok but I had to take the next day off because I was exhausted.  I would just recommend that you get as much sleep as you need to not wake up tired :)

I brought sugar free pops to keep in the work fridge/freezer (not sure if that's an option for you), but I loved having them to go!  Bring your protein drinks, a big water bottle (I filled mine with Crystal Lite), if you have a desk job like me - get up and walk around every hour.  Take it easy - best of luck!

Re-posting since mommyeliz asked:  (sorry if you're sick of my story - LOL)

First let me say:  I haven't met one other person this happened to - so it's extremely rare.  I knew something wasn't right because I couldn't breathe when I woke from the VSG surgery.  I could not inhale without pain.  Turns out I had a kink in my sleeve - surgery report says "obstruction."  I definitely did NOT want the RNY (both of my parents had it and I didn't like the side effects).  Lucky for me, I don't have the side effects at all.  I think because I've been so strict in not wanting to dump, therefore I haven't.  I've never thrown up either.  I'm doing the best with what I've got.  The beginning was very hard for me, I was angry for not getting the surgery I had researched and wanted. I was in the hospital for 4 days, it took longer to heal...but now I look at the bright side - I got the benefit of the VSG surgery AND the RNY :)
