SHOCKED
Are you being serious or is this a joke? You've lost 42lbs in 11 weeks and you are upset? That is almost 4 lbs a week. You are losing almost 4 lbs a week and you are upset and having a hard time dealing with the fact that you are not losing much weight. Am I missing something here? You should be really happy with the progress you have made. If I lost 42 lbs in 11 weeks, I would be ecstatic. Are you sure you are not just the type of person that needs something to be unhappy about? Sorry, I just can't figure out what is wrong. Congratulations on your success so far. Hope you will take the time to celebrate your successes.

I don't even know what to say. But I wanted to make sure this was saved for posterity just in case someone deletes or deactivates.
You are really ahead of the curve.
Stalls will happen many, many times through your losing phase... some will last weeks, in fact, you may even gain a pound or 2 especially as you build muscle (a good thing.)
I might ask your Dr. what realistic weight loss goals, average weight loss is. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
FYI: I averaged about 10 pounds a month... -158 pounds down & holding.
Best to you!
I call troll.
No information as to what type of surgery you had, how much you have to lose, just joined and your upset that a 4lb a week lose is not good enough for you. How much did you expect to lose?
I'm going to go ahead and apologize on behalf of humanity for the snipey and rude comments above. You come to a place like this looking for actual help and reassurance, not to be mocked.
That said, I think 42 lbs in 11 weeks is an amazing loss. This journey comes with LOTS of bumps. It sounds like you may be in the middle of a stall or a plateau, which is normal for weight loss with or without surgery. My advice to you is to keep doing what you're doing. Hit your nutritional goals (get enough protein and water, keep your carbs low, watch out for excess sodium), stay active and keep working out, and trust yourself. I know it's scary when you feel like you're trying so hard and it isn't working, but I promise you the scale will get moving again if you stick to your plan.
I hope this helps. I sincerely wish you all the best, and hope that this forum can be a safe space for you (and for all of us). Support is KEY to success on this journey.
