I juat wanted to add that most on here do not juice because fruit juice has as much sugar as regular soda. You would be drinking your calories. You are much better off just eating the fruit since you would get less sugar.

Juiced veggies are high in carbs and sugar.

I don't have a juicer but I do have a food processor/blender. I puree'd a lot of soups and later on, chicken and tuna salad.

Even juiced veggies will have high carb counts and could screw with your weight loss.  It's a trade-off....I know there are real benefits to juicing (veggies, not fruit which I think is a HUGE mistake for recovering morbidly obese patients).  You just have to decide if the trade-off is worth it to you.

No juicing here - juice is very high in carbs/sugar and removes a lot of the good stuff from veggies/fruits, namely the fiber.  It doesn't seem like a healthy choice to make.

Sorry, but I won't use a juicer since surgery.  You're missing out on some of the best parts of vegetables since it removes the fiber.  And fruits and vegetables are packed with sugar/carbs, so you'll end up getting more than you want and lots of extra calories.

My surgeon does not recommend drinking your calories.  You will not obtain any type of satiety compared to eating dense proteins.  The only thing he recommends is one protein shake a day while you're in weight loss mode.

You'll be much more satisfied eating foods rather than drinking juices after surgery.

When my husband was going through chemo he had no appetite and was losing weight at an alarming rate.  I bought a juicer and was able to stop the weight loss and he actually gained weight during his treatment.

Juicer are wonderful for helping to gain weight, no good for losing it.
