Consult 12-4 Tired of waiting.

I have my first consultation on December 4th.  I'm so tired of waiting, but I understand why.  I have to be completely smoke free for 3 months before that will see me.

The process takes awhile anyway, right?  Why can't we go ahead and get started?

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time! I know how hard it is too wait through all of the processes. My daughter will be 1 years old on December 4th, and I know it doesn't seem like it, but it WILL be here before you know it!

Your surgeon might want to see if you're serious about quitting smoking before he consults with you regarding surgery.  I don't know of any bariatric surgeons who will operate on patients who smoke.  

You have to be smoke=free for three months before they'll even SEE you?!? That's ridiculous. I can see them insisting on your being smoke-free a specific period of time before they'll perform surgery, but before they'll even TALK to you? Heck, you might decide you don't WANT WLS after to see the surgeon. (Not too likely, but you get my point.)

Have you contacted any other surgeons? Which form of WLS do you want to have?
