So...holidays approaching fast

MsBatt, I'm not a native-born southerner, but I LOVE making cornbread stuffing. I cut it with my homemade whole wheat bread, and, of course, my homemade cornbread! I only take a bite or two, but like most people, I cook EVERYTHING, and taste most. The only thing I make for me alone is baked sweet potato, as I'm the only one in the family who likes em. I also make fresh fish for most family meals (Sunday dinners) because we mostly eat Pescaterian. The only ones that eat meat are my son and my grandson. I usually do a small turkey breast for them. Veggies are usually a salad and steamed vegetables, with baked potatoes.

Because I'm revising to DS on Monday, I will be a lot more careful with what I eat, and what the texture is. I may substitute acorn squash this year for the sweet potato, and avoid the turkey in favor of the seafood. Dessert is my famous pumpkin pie, from which I'll not partake this year. It's all good...never had much of a sweet tooth.

Lisa :)

I am really nervous about this myself! I am just afraid I'm going to be sad that I can't eat my favorite holiday foods. I can barely eat 2 ounces of meat most days. Also, I don't know how much slack to cut myself, since I am a pretty die hard low carber and my favorite holiday foods are carb city.
