My stomach was removed on the left side and yes I did have a lot of pain! Could not even sleep or bend over. One thing that helped which I leaned from this forum was to get the extra gas out of me- which was trapped by things in my digestion system-by using Milk of Magnesia. That gave me almost immediate relief! Then my Dr said that because they sew the stomach up on the muscle, the pain is the scar tissue reforming and that after about 3-4 weeks the pain would go away. Almost 3 1/2 weeks to the day my pain went away. It itched for a few days but the pain was gone. After this - you'll have the "stall" to look forward to!!!
