I'm 15 days post-op (VS) and experiencing right side pain, which is the side where my stomach was removed.  Is this to be expected or should I call my doctor?

It was normal for me, but it never hurts to call your doc!

My stomach was removed on the left side and yes I did have a lot of pain! Could not even sleep or bend over. One thing that helped which I leaned from this forum was to get the extra gas out of me- which was trapped by things in my digestion system-by using Milk of Magnesia. That gave me almost immediate relief! Then my Dr said that because they sew the stomach up on the muscle, the pain is the scar tissue reforming and that after about 3-4 weeks the pain would go away. Almost 3 1/2 weeks to the day my pain went away. It itched for a few days but the pain was gone. After this - you'll have the "stall" to look forward to!!!

Was at the doctor today, 12 days post surgery. I asked about right side pain. He said it was very common due to the incision and the suture in the muscle. Should be a-ok in a few days!

it was normal for me too for a few weeks, it wasn't super painful but I had to take care of it. Pain should be less as time goes by if it increases that would be a red flag.

Got rid of my band!  Got a sleeve!
