No one surgery is better than the other, what works for one may not work for another. T-Rebel
Eggs were on my plan at 4 weeks, when I started soft solids. Ground beef and chicken were at 6 weeks. (But I was allowed to eat them all pureed starting at 2 weeks.)
Ask your nutritionist, though, because every surgeon has a different plan.

Everyone's plan will vary... Dr's have some basic guidelines but then tend to make their patients follow what they believe to be best.
I was cleared for most everything as tolerated (with a few exceptions) at 8 weeks. It doesn't mean I could eat them though... what it says on a list doesn't mean your body is ready for them. Eggs for example are on a lot of lists very early but for most people they sit like little rubber balls and it takes a month or so to ease into them.
Try new things one at a time so if they give you issues you will know what will need a few more weeks to introduce... and no fear generally you won't have to give it up forever and it will work out fine when you try again.
Best to you!
It really doesn't matter when so eone else started eating Gamow things... What matters is when they are on YOUR plan.
FWIW, though, and as a comparison, my surgeon had us start back on soft foods on Day Three, so I had a couple of bites of scrambled egg on Day Three after surgery, and had some baked buffalo chicken breast at the beginning of the second week. I first had ground beef in the form of Wendy's chili at 3 or 4 weeks out.
