HOW SOON AFTER SURGERY FOR CRUISE?
If the cruise is already booked, I would go on it. I don't know your Doctor's protocol for food but by 3-4 weeks I was on regular food, that doesn't mean I was used to it, and could eat everything. Physically I felt fine at 6 weeks, but I am 9 weeks now and it is still a challenge figuring out how much to eat, and making sure food agrees with me. The food temptation may be hard... but we all did this so we could live life, right? My first 6 weeks I had 3 weddings, my brother's 60th birthday, and a week of family events with everyone who came in for one of the weddings... It was fine, and I managed well. Good Luck!

You should feel well enough to cruise(barring complications).
You may need to bring your own protein shakes, depending on how well your eating has progressed at that point.
There are lots of protein options on the cruise, but you might not be tolerating them by that time.
If you can, purchase travel insurance so you can cancel if you don't feel up to it.
I was in Aruba during my 6th week of recovery. I had a blast! It was fun wearing a bathing suit :) I still brought protein shakes...had lots of bites of gourmet food. I had a complicated surgery (kink in my sleeve, resulting in RNY the following day) so I had a longer recovery but at 6 weeks I felt great.

I would not have been up for a cruise until I was 6 months out. I was exhausted until that point. But if money is no issue, go for it. for me I would not have been happy spending all that money to sleep. I would have waited.
