Reviews: Have you used GenePro Molecular Tri-Protein Peptide Protein?

Well, in the first place, he flat out lied to you about your body only being able to absorb 10 grams of protein at a time.  The ASBMS and other sources have ALL said that the body only being able to absorb any specific amount of protein at one time is a myth.  He is lying to you in order to sell his product.

I also noticed that he did NOT address the question of how you are going to absorb any of it if it is "specially formulated" to be absorbed in the upper intestine (which you have had bypassed).  Did you not ask him about this (it doesn't matter how much protein there is in it if it is primarily absorbed in the portion of intestine you no longer have available!) or did he just not bother to address that?  Since he brags  about it being absorbed in the upper intestine, I assume you did not ask.

I find it interesting  that you are willing to take the manufacturers WORD for the scientific validity of this product with ZERO independent confirmation (anyone can take a photo of a doctored lab analysis).  That is not exactly "research".

Does your "research" also tell you that the collagen protein shots that allege to have 40g of protein in 3 ounces actually have 40g of usable, absorbable protein?  I'm sure if we contact the manufacturer, someone the pre can send us an email assuring us that their claim is true.

You are right, though... it is your choice... and it is your body that will suffer if you have made a poor choice by being too focused on a wish for an easy fix for protein intake.  Don't be surprised, though, if others of us continue he to offer a rebuttal when you suggest this product to others.

I'm fine for people offering rebuttal all they want...just don't personally attack me for what THEY are saying. The fact is is that we are not doctors - I took this product to my doctors before I started taking it and they approved it...soooo. If your doctor says no for you then that's your instructions. As I have said time and time before this is only an occasional supplements  for me. Everyone has the right to take what they choose to their doc for approval. If they say no then that's the advice I'll take... I just wanted opinions on the flavor not someone's approval from this forum to take it. I see it all the time how the pros pounce on something new just because they haven't used it before or taken it to their doctors ... well I have and it's my choice so if you are saying goes my choice to use this is a bad one - I can only consider it as you wishing it doesn't work for me which is completely against the "help" regardless of if I take your first choice over this one.  Since when did so many doctors join these forums... and that's for the people who are endlessly bullied by you "pros" because you think what works for you is the only right way. Get over yourselves. If you can't be a help don't be hindrance by making someone feel stupid for making their own path. Last I heard this was my journey and anyone else's who decides they want to use this product. And I'm pretty sure testing it for a month isn't gonna kill me! I get 80 grams of protein in in food each day this is just my added bonus! Why it matters so much to you IDK and IDC!  But thanks for the in put.  I'm so over you know it alls.

Actually, I no longer care if this works for you or not. And my guess is your doc saw a typical looking tub of protein, glance at it, and said "fine," without looking at their ridiculous claims.

I do care very much about all the new people who see you pushing this potentially harmful product, and injuring themselves by using it. That's why I'm posting.

There are just too many excellent, proven, well-studied products out there to bother with something that pushes some obvious lies.

And you just proved my point about how I said the pros treat new people to the site if they don't bow down and do as you say. Thanks for showing everyone else

.. just curious, have either of you tried this protein or contacted the manufacturer?

Just wondering have you tried contacting the manufacturer and bringing up your concerns and see what they reply back?  Have you tried this protein yourself?

SO now that you've been using it for a while...what is your opinion of this product? I'm looking to order some and am in the process of reading reviews as I type.....

Product is great! I continue to use it every day just as supplement to my diet. Protein levels from blood are staying in good levels. Doctors have told me to keep doing what I'm doing. In total I get about 100 grams of protein or more a day and only 30 of that comes from GenePro.
