Talking you out of surgery?
You lost 100 pounds on your own? Is that all? I lost at least 500 pounds on my own.The same 100 pounds, 5 times. I just couldn't lose more, or keep it off.
You can see my stats in my ticker. I lost a lot before surgery, 116 pounds, and another 174 after. I think losing so much beforehand gave me a good running start so I could lose everything I needed to.

My goal is to lose 120 lbs total. I got a lot of the "you aren't that big" and "you've lost 40 lbs going into surgery, so why..." What many didn't know or connect was that I had three co-morbities of hypertension, arthritis and sleep apnea. The WLS is only a tool, not cheating or a quick fix. After the first few negative comments I got very selective about whom I shared with. Aside from my extended family only about 10 other very good friends know that I had WLS.
