shape wear oh my!
I liked Flexees...they're made by Maidenform. They are not anywhere near as expensive as Spanx, and to me, they are easier to get on.
I bought mine a couple of sizes too big so I could breathe.
I've lost enough weight to feel comfortable going out in just light support undies. ( and can wear my actual undie size. ) Never, ever thought I'd get to that point. I wore shape wear starting at 14.

Sweet Nothings, also made by another more expensive lingere brand are sold in Walmart. In a blind test, ladies couldn't ell the difference between them and the name brand, so they're great.
One tip for you being new to shapewear - get a size larger than the size of clothing you wear. You'll get the smoothing effect without feeling like a stuffed sausage.

Spanx are awful, aren't they??
Funny, true and kind of sad story...I found a pair of Spanx I bought when I was MO, and I thought "Oh, these will fit me perfectly now that I'm 150 lbs lighter!!" Nope....I could not even get them over my thighs...I don't know how I managed to squeeze into them at my highest weight. Bizarre!
