APPROVED!!!

I found out Friday that I am approved for the Gastric Sleeve!!!  Aetna normally takes up to 15 day's to approve but they approved me in 2 day's.... I was shocked...

I should get my surgery date tomorrow (Monday), or Tuesday...

My question is my Doctor is saying I need a 2 week Clear Liquid Diet before surgery to ensure my Liver has shrunk down as much as possible to make access to the Stomach much easier...

I am seeing that a lot of people only have 2-4 day clear liquid diets prior to surgery...  Are there anyone out there that have been instructed to have a 2 week Pre-Op Clear Liquid Diet

I has 9 days full liquid diet.  I was allowed protein shakes, water, no calorie drinks, SF jello and SF Popsicles. It was easier after day 3, and so with it.  I lost 13lbs in those 9 days.

Yes I had to do a 2 week clear diet... it depends on your doctor and what he prefers, if you have any CO morbidities, your weight and so forth... I'm on day 13, one more to go... GL

Congrats!!!! It is definitely life changing I am almost a week postop for DS surgery!!! I was on a 1200cal diet for 2 weeks , then a liquid diet for 1 week and a clear liquid diet for another week! GOOD LUCK!!

I didn't have to at the mayo clinic inRochester Mn but night before I had do drink liquid saline for a bowel cleanse that I don't think you will have to do. Congrats!!!
