Protien powder and shakes
I use Genepro also. It is whey based not soy, and it mixes easily in hot liquids. Had it in soup today. Also 1 TBSP = 30g... so much less to mix in-quantity wise- than most powders. Bought mine off Amazon.

The best-tasting and most effective protein powder is the on that YOU can get down. (*grin*) I've never used protein powder, in fact have only tasted a couple, and that was pre-op, BUT---most folks talk about them ALL like they taste like dog-butt. Also, most people find their tastes change radically after surgery, so it's a mistake to stock up on things pre-op.
I suggest you order some of the sample packs available from several vendors, and save them until you're post-op. That way you'll have a lot of options on hand, and when you find one you actually like, you can order more.
My choice of a protein drink is not a shake it's a juice. It's called protein ice and has 42g of protein per 591ml or 20oz. It's sugar free lactose free and gluten free. Comes in 5 flavours and is sold in Canada at Popeye's A bit expensive at $4.99 a bottle but I can't tolerate the taste ,texture or smell of protein shakes
