Freaking OUT!!! No weight loss!

So, I am 1 1/2 WEEKS out from RNY surgery, and I started great...12 lbs down. I am back up to walking about 2 miles a day, plus moving as much as possible around the house and I have not seen a budge on the scale since Monday. Nothing has changed except that I am exercising more and more each day, still on liquid diet, drinking my water, and getting as much protein as I can, please tell me this is normal and that something will change! Feeling a little hopeless. I know that I didn't get to where I was in a day, it took a lifetime, but I thought I would continue to see the number go down pretty steadily for more than a week and 1/2.

You've lost 12 pounds?  In a week and a half?  So a little more than a pound a day?  And you are freaking out about no weight loss?

Um, that is weight loss.  A lot of weight loss.  I think maybe your expectations were just not realistic.

Your problem is that you're getting on the scale far too often. HIDE THE SCALE NOW! Weigh ONLY at your doctor's office. It will make you a MUCH happier person. (*grin*)

Totally normal and the numbers will start moving again. I had about a week and a half with no movement in my first few weeks after surgery.

12lb in a week and you're feeling hopeless, what were you expecting??

Yes, the numbers will keep going down as you stick to your plan. But you won't be losing several pounds per day, that's for sure.

You are exercising more building muscle......  The scale will move, don't be surprises when it does it goes down quick.  Just keep doing what u are doing it will all turn out!

I stalled one week after RNY and it lasted 3 1/2 weeks... I was freaking out. Stalls early on are not uncommon from what I understand. The good news is I lost more weight the second month than the first. Good Luck
