ONE DAY POST-OP

I made through surgery with flying colors.  Today I began ice chips and walking,walking, walking.  About three hours later I had a wave of nausea and hope that I do not throw up.  I did receive nausea meds...any advice on the ice-chip stage??? Clear fluids start tomorrow...any advice there as well?

I had the same thing. I had to stay in the hospital an extra day until I could take in enough fluids.   I ended up having 3 different anti nausea meds.   Good luck and it will pass.  

They started me on warm water...seems to be a bit better.  Dr. thinks I may have some inflammation caused by ingesting the ice.  Not a good feeling but reassuring to know it will pass.  Thanks for your response.
