OH is letting members down

We understand your frustration with the notification issue and time delay.

This is a slightly less bland response than the others you have posted on all the other threads like this! But it really doesn't offer us any hope.  Your current technical team has known of this problem for months. I am not an IT expert but frends who are tell me they find it extremely surprising that this should apparently be beyond the wit of your staff. If it is beyond them, perhaps a contractor should be brought in. 

But apparently your IT team either cannot or will not fix the problem.  Why not hire someone that actually can fix it?  If you really understand our frustration, you would solve the problem.

I appreciate staff's shared concern but what I can't understand is why this appears to be such a difficult issue to resolve. Perhaps "new eyes" are required in the IT department.

Wow really, had no idea anyone wanted to fill their inbox with annoying emails about someone responding to a post, that and the obnxious signature thing, thankfully can both be turned off.  This site is so unused now, that you can post a reply and come back a week later and it still be on Page 1 or 2.  If you really care so much, go back though the posts and see if there is something you need to reply to.  I doubt they will ever be able to keep up with all the new technology at a small independent messageboard site.  It's outlived its usefulness, there is so much information on wls now and FB groups, OH is becoming obsolete.  Go look at surgeons reviews, all the updates are from before 2008.

I don't find OH to be "unused" now, though I won't speak for this main board - it does seem a lot slower over the past couple of years. My home board, however, is extremely active and not obsolete.

As a post-op that is out several years, I get a lot of questions both via PM and on forums - I want to answer, but it's difficult if I don't know someone has contacted me - that is what we would like to see rectified. I do go back over threads, thankyouverymuch, but wouldn't it be so much easier to receive notice. Yes. Perhaps you don't have many asking you for advice.

Or perhaps Heidi has more free time to go back to each post she replies to to check for replies.  I guess if you only post every now and then, it doesn't take much time.

I agree with Karen. Our provincial forum continues to be a busy place. For patients here it can take 9-18 months to get through the process from referral to surgery. While in process people often have a lot of questions to ask and be answered. Patients here travel to have surgery so finding out information online is vital. Even getting out information about local support groups is difficult if we don't know people are asking. Come on OH fix this.

I know that our R&R board still has pretty good traffic and I think the surgery boards and some of the Canadian boards are really busy too.    

I think most of the people here want to connect with like minded people and like experienced people and so avoid the general boards where all the same questions are asked and answered on a frequent basis.   I feel the main and surgery boards serve the pre-ops and newbies well!

Personally I don't wish to discuss my surgery on FB.

Then why are you still here, Heidi?
