This is something you want to discuss with your surgeon as they will have access to your medical history.  That being said try posting this on the Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forum to find someone that may have had it done and can assist you with sharing their experience.  Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Short answer---no.

Longer answer---you can have your RNY revised to a VSG, but it's not likely to be of much benefit. It would give you back some restriction, but you wouldn't have any malabsorption. If you still have a significant amount of weight to lose, or if you've had significant regain, your best bet would be revising your RNY to a Duodenal Switch. The DS has a Sleeved stomach, plus an intestinal bypass similar to that of your RNY, but more aggressive---one that will give you significant malabsorption of calories for the rest of your life. This is the form of WLS with the very best long-term, maintained weight-loss stats, and the best stats for resolving or preventing diabetes and high cholesterol.

No, the pouch of the RNY would have to be taken down, and the stomach patched back together to then make the sleeve.
