My band was fitted three and a half years ago .hard work but good results however five months ago I found out it has no fluid and not working. Finally I have an appointment to see a surgeon. My weight is creeping back. Has aanyone had experience with band damage? If so is it repairable

I'm sorry your having trouble with your band.  I believe there is another Forum specifically for lap band people that might be able to give you more info

Good luck

Leaks are relatively easy to repair.  Mine was in the tubing about 3" away from the band itself. My surgeon cut out the leaking part, reconnected the ends. He went in through one of the existing incisions. That was about four years post-op.  Everything has been absolutely fine since then, over four years ago.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
