A Barix Clinics' dietician spoke at our last support group meeting and mentioned a few things that people after WLS should be doing for the rest of their lives.  They included:

1. Eating 6 small meals a day

2. Not drinking and eating at the same time

3. Drinking 64 oz of non-caffeinated fluids every day

4. Some form of regular exercise

5. Taking vitamins and supplements as their surgeon prescribed

6. Eating protein first

Thanks for posting these. They are pretty universal, except for the six meals a day. A lot of programs still try to push three meals a day, but six works for me.

Several studies have shown that those with significant regain have abandoned dense protein meals, and resumed drinking with meals. Those seem to be the biggest pitfalls.
