I had my VSG on 8/21/14. I walk but wanted to ask everyone when can I start to lift weights and do some cardio?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I was walking right away, swimming at four weeks, and weight-lifting at six weeks.

Please ask your surgeon. I was only allowed to walk for the first six weeks.

I was cleared to walk (light cardio) immediately post-op.  No lifting or resistance exercise though until 6-8 weeks out.  Your surgeon should have given you some clear guidelines on this.  It's pretty standard in all the materials they give you before discharge from the hospital.
